The Onshore Substation (ONS) Package Lead is part of the Client Success department. You will be responsible for setting up and managing technical design and closing an agreement with a potential EPCI contractor for the package. The ONS Package Lead works in a Taiwan project development team and reports in the project to the Technical Manager. As a person you have a hands-on approach, and you team up with the other packages within the project.
Project informationIX Renewables has a strong presence in the Taiwan offshore wind market. From our office in Taipei, we are working on the development of several offshore wind farms.
One of these projects concerns the development of a floating offshore wind farm. The project is in bidding stage and is expected to be commissioned in 2030. For this project, we are looking for a package lead for the onshore substation (“ONS”) package (cable landing, onshore cable, onshore substation and grid connection).
Role and responsibilities:
Overall set up of the package execution plan, incl. budget.
Set up a planning and ensure that key milestones in the planning are met.
Set up a conceptual technical design/pre feed of the ONS package (with the use of sub-contractors) and manage this process.
Identify a short list of potential Taiwanese EPCI contractors for the package.
Contact EPCI contractors and maintain the relationships.
Prepare and issue RFP and/ or RFQ, coordinate clarifications, lead negotiations and provide recommendations of preferred suppliers.
In cooperation with Legal, negotiate and close an agreement with the preferred supplier.
About you
10+ years of work experience with electrical/civil projects in Taiwan.
Civil or electrical background on a Bachelor or Master level.
Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage own workload, bring projects from conceptual level to a concrete plan, manage milestones and coordinate external and internal stakeholders.
You have experience with working in an international environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
Ideally based in Taiwan (The Netherlands is open for discussion).
Strong team player, willingness to learn, self-starting and highly motivated.
Work in a structured manner and ability to structure the documentation.
