About the Project​

Advisory services to support client with a Quantitative Risk Assessment & Contingency Estimation for an undisclosed offshore wind development project in Japan were provided. Workshops were conducted to identify and score (before and after mitigation) on thirteen topics (like Scheduling, Financial, QHSE, Project Management, WTG and BoP). These thirteen topics formed the base of a risk register with identified risks, scored on respectively likelihood and impact. Fitting mitigating measures have been proposed, along with residual scoring of the risks after mitigation.

With this input, stochastic (Monte Carlo) risk modelling has been performed, with a primary focus on costs. With the captured outcomes, main project risks were identified and mitigation measures were be quantified. Conclusions and recommendations will be implemented in client’s further stages of the project.
