IX - Leiden
HQEric is the Founder and Managing Director of IX and has been involved since he developed the new business at Mecal. He has a Master in Industrial Management and Engineering, with specialization in law. He has worked in the wind power industry since 2002 and in offshore wind since 2006 in many different countries worldwide, with focus on Europe, Taiwan and Japan. His particular expertise relates to analyzing the business aspects of wind power. He is specialized in technical due diligence, financial models and operational strategies in on and offshore wind power.
Tom has a Master in Spatial Planning at Utrecht University and a Bachelor in Social Geography. He is specialized in project management, wind and solar development and due diligence. He has been involved in the renewable energy industry since 2011, with a focus on early-stage wind development. Tom particularly excels combining expertise in multiple technical disciplines into solutions for the best project results.
Raymond's educational background is TU mechanical engineering, and his work background is offshore Oil & Gas, and mainly offshore pipelines both design and installation. Raymond made the transition to the offshore renewable energy sector because he believes that the sector can benefit from the offshore oil and gas experience from the last decades.
His experience is offshore related and includes managing a large engineering department within a heavily changing organization and market.
Within IX, Raymond is the engineering manager for the Foxwell project, but also for the organization as a whole.
Bettina has an Advanced Master of Laws degree in European and International Business Law from Leiden University, and diverse work experience in policy think-tank, corporate group, and bank.
Her role at IX, as a Legal Counsel, is to prepare, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements for Rui Li 1 Floating Offshore Wind Project and IX. She is also responsible for internal set up of legal documents, contract management systems, and collaboration with headquarter and overseas subsidiaries to formulate internal policies and processes.
Faye originates from Wales and holds a Masters degree in International and European Law from the University of Amsterdam. Having previously work at an international tribunal in The Hague, Faye will be supporting the international legal team in IX in contracting. Faye’s diverse experience across legal services and operations management are a valuable contribution to the IX team.
Jens has a MSc in wind engineering and is experienced as a project engineer in the offshore industry and as a programmer in the renewable energy sector.
His main responsibility with IX, is the creation of technical and commercial analyses and reports in the renewable energy sector, as well as all-round support for inspections and dismantling projects for offshore wind turbines.
His versatile skills and knowledge in different sustainability related fields are a valuable contribution to the IX team.
Lieuwe was educated at TU Delft as an Offshore engineer. He takes care of the technical side of the submarine cables package for offshore projects in Taiwan. At his former employer, he was a Lead engineer in Cables, in which he has laid a solid foundation for his career by working on quite a few projects in the offshore wind industry prior to his arrival at IX.
Marvin has a bachelors degree in built environment, spatial planning and urban development. He specializes in HSE, emergency response and external safety. At IX, he is responsible for preparation and reviewing of HSSE strategies and plans.
Niels Drouen is a Hydraulic Engineering graduate from TU Delft. With initial experience in the oil and gas sector, Niels transitioned to the offshore wind industry, where he joined Boskalis' subsea cables team. He is specialized in offshore cable installation for export and inter-array cable projects and has been involved as field engineer in several projects where he gained practical offshore experiences. His former projects ensure a seamless integration of engineering skills with offshore expertise, and he can contribute to a variety of offshore scopes of work. He is passionate about driving industry innovation and committed to enhancing the energy transition.
Rodrigo is a Bachelor in Electronic Engineering and enriches IX with fifteen+ years technical experience with SCADA systems, PLCs, commissioning, O&M and retrofit projects in the transmission and generation energy sectors.
He supports the SCADA technical activities in projects during the commissioning phase, such as technical documentation validation, SCADA system integration with WTG SCADA, substation SCADA and TSO SCADA, FAT and SAT tests.
These activities contribute to savings for our clients during the project negotiations with manufactures and project system integration.
Tobias has a master's degree in offshore engineering and is specialized in offshore wind. He has over 5 years of experience in working in Offshore Wind and gained practical experience in his support within the offshore installation of multiple wind farms. Tobias is passionate to contribute to the structural improvement, optimization and conservation of a climate-safe future.
IX - Hengelo
Glenn has a background in Mechanical Engineering. For over 7 years Glenn ran his own business in project- and site management. His experience and expertise in turn-key project management are valuable assets to enrich IX’s services. Glenn will also be focusing on business development on the area of solar and wind energy in the construction phase.
IX - Taiwan
Bernd is legal counsel at IX Wind and holds a master’s degree in business law from Tilburg University. In the past he has been responsible for the day-to-day operations of various Dutch entities within international corporate structures and participated in research into regulations and investments in the Dutch energy sector. Within IX Wind his focus is to support the team on (international) contracting in the on- and offshore wind industry.
After his studies in Applied Physics at the University of Twente in the Netherlands, Lars emigrated to Taiwan and gained experience in his profession as PMO Manager for banks and insurers. Applying his knowledge and vast experience, Lars now operates as PMO Manager for IX. His main focus lies on guiding processes and facilities like document control, finances, procurement, scheduling, risk management, quality and safety, and bridge management. Acting as PMO Manager for the TPC-II project since 2022.
National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology: Master of Department of Safety, Health and Environmental Engineering. Li has 4+ years Associate Project experience at an Environmental Impact Assessment Consultant Company Unitech. He also has Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Difference Analysis related experience and participates in various offshore wind farm EIS, DA, and monitoring projects.
Mark is an accomplished Project Quality Specialist, with solid project management and data analysis experience. Originally, he is an Environmental Engineer with about 10 years of quality management work experience in the drinking water industry.
At IX, he is Project QAQC Specialist for TPC II and for other projects.
Ted is finance manager at IX Renewables Taiwan. He holds both CFA and CMA certifications, as well as a master's degree in business administration from CUNY Baruch College. He has experience in the international financial industry across the EU, US, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. At IX Renewables, his focus on accounting, finance and relevant projects in ensuring the company's operations in Taiwan, Japan, and the Netherlands align with sustainability goals and regulatory requirements.
Tina has a master's degree in Marine Geology and Geophysics from National Taiwan University.
Her role at IX is to support the Environmental Impact Assessment and site investigation of the offshore windfarm development in Taiwan. She is also responsible for the Geographical Information System (GIS) analysis in the company.
Ting is a Civil Engineer with 25 years of working experience and has been working in offshore wind for 13+ years in Europe and the Asia Pacific. He graduated from University of Dundee in Scotland.
At IX, Ting is the Senior Project Manager working on Rui Li 1 Project, assisting our Engineering Manager in preparing the bid.
Todd has a background in economics and a master's degree in cross-disciplinary social sciences. His research interest is in policy changing, industry forecasting and scenario management, focusing on how decision makers affect industrial development.
As Policy and Regulation Manager, Todd provides cross-team coordination of strategic promotion, policy positioning, and recommendations at the national and local level. Collaboration with the stakeholder engagement lead, manage stakeholder engagement within local authorities, central government bodies, legislative and non-legislative agencies, and other parties to develop strong working relationships.
Zach has a background in Materials Engineering. His most recent experience in offshore wind is the Formosa 2 project in Taiwan, which he worked on from start to completion. With IX, Zach is improving and developing a document control and management system. Every projects has thousands of documents that need to be organized, flow to proper parties, and approved. If important documents are late there are expensive liquidated damage payments, and the works cannot proceed. With Zach's contribution, our clients have an operational well-oiled document control machine.
IX - Japan
Rob has a MSc in Mechanical Engineering, offshore technology, with ten years’ experience as an engineer on oil & gas, and large infrastructure projects, mainly in southeast Asia, followed by close to fifteen years as financial advisor (financial modeller) on energy and infrastructure projects, based in London, and the most recent three years based in Tokyo. He has worked on several large offshore wind projects, including Walney Extension, and the Borssele 1&2 bid. He supports IX in his role as project manager by setting up business development strategies in Japan, thereby expanding our corporate presence. His activities will also include generating short- and long-term revenues in on- and offshore wind projects.
