The Procurement Manager is part of the Client Success department and has procurement work and responsibilities as his main purpose. However, this could be supplemented with contract management related work. You will be responsible for managing the procurement strategy and standardization of related protocols. The Procurement Manager reports to the Head of Client Succes.
Project informationIX Renewables has a strong presence in the Taiwan offshore wind market. From our office in Taipei, we are working on the development of several offshore wind farms.
One of these projects concerns the development of a floating offshore wind farm. The project is in bidding stage and is expected to be commissioned in 2030.
The Position and Responsebilities:
Setup and develop the Procurement strategy and systems required to efficiently procure major contracts as well as small goods and services.
Developing relations with existing and new Supply Chain partners with the aim to maximize the quality of third-party bids.
Developing, reviewing and approving Procurement Plans.
Ensure an effective and efficient execution of the procurement processes within the project team.
Developing standardization of procurement contracts and T&C in cooperation with legal.
Reviewing and analyzing technical contracts relating to (offshore) wind.
Identify risks and propose mitigation measures in relation to contracts.
Monitoring compliance to contracts from both Employer’s and Contractor’s perspective.
Reviewing incoming communications from the customer/contractors for all contractual correspondence.
Working together with Cost Control to develop a solid invoice approval system (including completion certificates and milestones certificates).
Expediting progress of varying procurement contracts in consultation with the Package Manager.
Manage the proper execution of procurement processes.
Ensuring continuous improvement of procurement processes.
Reviewing and analyzing technical contracts relating to (offshore) wind.
About you
10+ years of work experience with big and complex projects preferably in oil & gas, energy or offshore (wind);
You have experience with working in an international environment and different cultures;
Project Management experience or ability to coordinate a project
You have the ability to influence and to facilitate the development and implementation of goals, objectives and plans.
Work in a structured manner and ability to structure the documentation
Independent self-starter able to manage own workload with minimal supervision;
You are a strong communicator, both verbally and written in English. Intercultural communication and negotiation skills are a must.
Affinity with contract management.
Willingness to travel/ temporarily relocate to Taiwan.
MSc degree or equivalent in Economics, Business, Accountancy and/or Engineering.
