We are looking for a Permit and Consent Coordinator for Project Rui-Li 1. This role involves organizing, tracking, and facilitating the permitting and consent process, including preparing for the Establishment Permit (EP), securing a consent letter from Taipower, and managing the grid connection process. Your focus will be on ensuring the bid book includes a comprehensive plan for handling the EP and other permits post-bid. You will also support technical packages, collaborate with the EIA Coordinator to evaluate supplier permitting aspects, and ensure that all engineering plans comply with regulatory requirements. The Permit and Consent Coordinator reports to the CRP Manager, providing regular updates on permit, consent, and grid connection status. The role involves close collaboration with the Government Relations & Policy Manager, EIA Coordinator, technical leads, and other departments to ensure alignment with project objectives and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the bid book contains a comprehensive plan for managing permits and consents post-bid.
Project information IX Renewables has a strong presence in the Taiwan offshore wind market. From our office in Taipei, we are working on the development of several offshore wind farms. One of these projects concerns the development of a floating offshore wind farm. The project is in bidding stage and is expected to be commissioned in 2030.
Responsibilities and tasks:
The Permit and Consent Coordinator reports in the project directly to the CRP Manager, providing regular updates on the planning and status of permits, consents, and grid connection. You will work closely with the Government Relations and Policy Manager, the EIA Coordinator, technical package leads, and other departments to ensure that all permitting activities are aligned with the project’s objectives and regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities include:
Permitting Process Planning: Identify and prepare for obtaining the Establishment Permit (EP) and consent letter from Taipower, and develop a comprehensive plan for additional permits, ensuring inclusion in the bid book.
Documentation and Submission: Compile all necessary documentation for the bid book, aligning permit strategies with project plans in collaboration with technical and commercial teams.
Regulatory Communication: Act as the primary contact for regulatory bodies, maintaining communication to stay updated on permitting processes.
Management Support: Provide regular updates to management on permit status and assist in preparing reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all project activities comply with permit conditions and coordinate with technical teams for any design changes.
Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with various departments to integrate permit requirements into project plans and support the EIA Coordinator in aligning environmental assessments with permitting needs.

About you
A Bachelor degree in a relevant field of study.
Experience or knowledge in project development in the renewables industry.
Experience or knowledge in the legislative process or regulatory authority, for example as a congressional assistant or public service department experience will be preferred.
A strategic and creative thinker that can quickly understand and analyses complex challenges.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of social/political/economic issues relevant to local stakeholders.
A professional communicator, this role will include interfacing with the local community, media, and other external audiences.
Manage meetings, stakeholders, communications for a fast-paced project in highly organized and efficient manner.
Superior writing skills and verbal skills in Mandarin and good command of the English language in words and writing.
