About the job
As a Business Acquisition Manager, you will play a key role in identifying and converting new commercial opportunities, particularly in South Korea and Taiwan. You act as the vital link between complex client needs and IX Renewables’ ability to deliver tailored, high-quality solutions. With strong commercial instincts and analytical skills, you will help shape the commercial growth of our organization in APAC. Together with your colleagues, you will contribute to positioning IX Renewables as the EPCI management partner for the APAC offshore wind market.
You will be responsible for business acquisition and the tendering process. Upon successful completion of a tender, you will hand over the project to a Project Manager for execution, while remaining involved as the key account manager throughout the lifecycle of the project.
In this role, you will work closely with our experienced engineering team to develop innovative solutions that address the specific needs of our clients. You operate with a high level of autonomy, take initiative, and actively seek ways to improve both your individual performance and the broader commercial process. Your focus extends beyond immediate wins – you prioritize long-term partnerships and sustainable value creation.

The Position and Responsebilities:
You will be part of the Client Development department a talented, driven team that continuously strives for excellence and pushes the boundaries of what is possible in the offshore wind market.
Lead the development and execution of strategic business development initiatives to drive growth and revenue in key APAC markets.
Identify and target new prospects, generating demand through inside sales, networking, and direct client engagement.
Translate complex and often unique client needs into concrete proposals, tailored services, or product offerings together with the proposal manager from preparation to submission.
Set up and manage project proposals throughout the tendering process, from preparation to submission.
Oversee the negotiation and closure of business deals, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic and financial objectives.
Support the technical team during engineering solution development by constructively challenging proposals from a technical, functional, and commercial perspective.
Manage the content of proposals and sales presentations, ensuring clear and compelling communication of added value.
Maintain and expand a strong network of clients, suppliers, and strategic partners in the offshore wind industry, with a strong focus on South Korea and Taiwan. Future success could lead to further expansion in the APAC region.
Manage the retention and satisfaction of existing accounts, ensuring long-term relationships and recurring business.
Independently develop commercial sub-plans and budgets in line with the broader company strategy.
Continuously improve and implement commercial best practices, methods, and internal processes.
Strong cross-department collaboration with engineering, project management, and other departments to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction.
Resolve complex commercial challenges by applying strategic insight, market understanding, and analytical problem-solving.
Influence internal and external stakeholders through clear, adaptive communication tailored to audience, culture, and context.
Contribute actively to teamwork and collective success by providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative environment.
About you
You have +7 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or commercial management within the offshore wind industry.
You possess a broad network in the APAC offshore wind market, particularly in South Korea and Taiwan; a strong network in Japan is considered a significant plus.
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a commercial, business economics or technical field.
You have a proven track record of successful sales in the international renewable energy sector; in the offshore wind market is considered a significant plus
You are highly experienced in consultative selling, with the ability to understand client needs and propose tailored solutions.
You have well-developed international communication skills in Mandarin and English; proficiency in Japanese is a strong advantage.
You are results-driven, persuasive, and commercially astute, while maintaining a focus on long-term client relationships.
You tailor your communication style to suit different audiences, cultures, and contexts.
You are comfortable working independently, taking initiative, and driving continuous improvement.
You maintain a strategic overview, even in fast-changing or uncertain environments.
You are a proactive team player with a strong sense of ownership and a drive to deliver excellence.
You are based in Taiwan (IX office in Taipei),or Japan (IX office in Tokyo) and willing to travel internationally as needed.
