About the job

As the senior Business Development Manager, you are responsible for the development and execution of strategic business development initiatives. Your mission is to position IX Renewables as the EPCI management partner for the European offshore wind market.

You are responsible for business acquisition and the tendering- processes. After the successful completion of a tender process, you will hand over the projects to a Project Manager for the execution. You will remain involved as key account manager. The senior Business Development will work closely with our experienced engineering team to develop innovative solutions that meet the specific needs of our clients.

From this perspective, it is crucial that you have solid technical knowledge and are able to think along about possible solutions. The senior Business Development Manager is part of the Client Development department, a driven and talented team that strives for excellence and constantly pushes the boundaries of what is possible in the market.

The Position and Responsebilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic business development initiatives to drive growth and revenue.

  • Identify and target new prospects and generate demand through inside sales and direct client contact.

  • Set up project proposals for tendering processes.

  • Oversee the negotiation and closing of business deals, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and financial objectives.

  • Manage the overall retention process for current accounts.

  • Manage proposal content and sales presentations.

  • Supporting the technical team that will realize the solution for your clients, you will challenge the solution on a technical, functional and commercial level.

  • Inspire the business development team, fostering a culture of success and continuous improvement.

About you

  • 7+ years of work experience with Business Development in offshore wind.

  • And broad network in the European offshore wind development industry.

  • Commercial or Technical background on a Bachelor or Master level.

  • A track record of excellent sales trajectories in the renewables energy market.

  • Highly experienced in consultative selling.

  • Well-developed communication skills in Dutch and English.

  • Strong character and know how to use your personality and knowledge of the content to involve customers and the internal organisation in their role within the solution.

  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage own workload, bring sales from conceptual level to a concrete plan, manage milestones and coordinate external and internal stakeholders.

  • Experience with working in an International environment.

  • Based in The Netherlands and willing to travel all over the world.

  • Strong team player, willingness to learn, self-starting and highly motivated.
