After opening an Asian office in Taiwan in 2018, the Dutch consultancy and engineering company IX Wind, is now also open for business in Tokyo.
IX Wind has been active in Taiwan, Korea, China and Japan for several years now. To improve the service to clients in those countries, IX opened an office in Taipei with the hiring of Ms. Paris Tzou. Now, with the welcoming of Mr. Rob van Veen to the team, a Dutch/British national living in Tokyo, IX has a local presence and which allows to work closer with clients. With this step, there is a good basis for further expanding the business in Japanese market.
Earlier this year IX signed an MoU with TÜV SÜD for collaboration in Japan. This collaboration is focussed on the performance improvement and inspections of WTG’s, as well as full scope quality management and due diligence.
IX Wind is proud to already be working with reputable Japanese companies such as Eurus Energy, Obayashi, and JWD; and is keen to expand the business, building on its expertise in offshore wind. IX’s particular areas of expertise are owner’s engineer, due diligence, financial modelling, performance improvement (including OPEX modelling and optimisation, utilizing the in-house SOMOS7 software), design, inspections of WTGs, and more.
IX Wind will be using its presence in Japan, and Taiwan as a springboard for entering the APAC renewables market, servicing developers, investors, banks, and insurance companies.
