Project Management Office (PMO)
Renewable energy projects consist of multiple technical packages and sub-contractors whose designs and implementations are highly interconnected and need to be coordinated along one integrated project plan. Due to high complexity and the large number of internal and external teams involved, Developers can easily loose oversight and control. IX Renewables offers Project Management Office (PMO) consultancy, covering Project Controls that guide the project to successful completion and Project Services for common project solutions.
Project Controls
Successful completion of a renewable energy project is defined as delivering the project scope at quality on time within budget. This is achieved through the integrated management of Time, Cost, and Risk. Project Controls establishes baseline schedules and cash-flows with risk-based contingencies. Risk management identifies threats and devises measures that most benefit the project, such as insurance coverage, contractual arrangements or mitigations to reduce likelihood or impact. Project Controls offers mission critical value to any renewable energy project through minimizing detrimental impact while realizing upside opportunities.
Project Services
Renewable energy projects require standard structures such as procedures and rules, systems and tools, templates and reports that will be adopted by all packages and work streams and prescribed to sub-contractors. Project Services leads the establishment of and ensures compliance to these standard structures, covering Quality and Safety (QHSE), Supply Chain Management, Organizational Set-up and Reporting, amongst others. The most fundamental Service is Document Control, which enables effective information sharing, reviewing mechanisms, internal and external communication protocols and record keeping.
